HamBase 1993 from j-Com
=======================
The 1993 version of the HamBase US and Canadian Callsign database will be
available in January, 1993. The HamBase program has been completely
rewritten. Version 3.0 will be provided with the 1993 data.
New Features in HamBase 3.0:
Browse by Name. Instantly find all of your old buddies by scanning the
database in name order.
Browse by Callsign. Scan the compressed data by line or by page in
callsign order.
Browse exported Files. Examine exported data without leaving HamBase.
Includes text searching.
Export data in all the popular database formats. Address labels; fixed
format; delimited by commas, tabs, comma-quotes; callsign only.
Generate mailing labels from Callsign Lists. Input a list of callsigns
in a text file and print labels, or export data in any format.
Color menus and popup Help Screens. HamBase is easier to use than
ever. You can even select the colors yourself.
Export lists by State, County, and Zip Code. Define your own filter
for data exports. Make a list of local hams to recruit for your
club or stations in those hard to find counties.
Split databases to multiple hard drives and floppy disks. The HamBase
data may be located on any combination of up to 6 different disk
drives or subdirectories. Keep the locals on your hard drive and
still find everyone else by inserting a single diskette when HamBase
requests it.
Not just the FCC Data. HamBase USA contains thousands of calls not
in the FCC tapes: clubs and organizations, silent keys, and address
corrections. Optional databases cover Canada, Russia, Packet BBS
addresses, DX QSL Routes, and Old Calls.
Edit each label before you print it. With the powerful screen editor,
you can make any changes you wish to the mailing label before you
print it. Everything you see in the four lines on the screen will
be printed.
Create your own QSL Labels. You can edit the label to generate a
confirmation that can be glued to the front of your QSL card.
HamBase will automatically fill in the callsign, date, and time
in a format you can specify in the configuration menu. Print
the labels to a file during your QSO and copy the file to your
printer later when you print the address labels.
Add your own calls to the Database. You can use the NEW and EDIT
options to correct the HamBase data. All the new entries are stored
in a separate file which is immediately accessible for callsign lookups.

HamBase 1993 is only $49.95 plus $5 shipping and handling for all
600,000 US calls including the counties, name index, and the new
HamBase 3.0 instant access program. Overseas customers, please add
$10 for shipping and handling.
HamBase 1993 Winter Update. If you own a copy of HamBase 1992 with
file dates of August 1992 or later, or if you purchased the Summer
Update to go with your January 1992 data, you can update your data
to include all the additional callsigns and address changes which
occurred in the last half of 1992. The update disks include the
latest version of the HamBase program. $19.95 ($2 s/h).
HamBase Canada 1993. The HamBase Canada data disk contains 33,000
Canadian callsigns and addresses. The Canadian data is updated
annually. If you order HamBase Canada separately, the latest version
of the HamBase program is included. It is not necessary to own the
US data to use HamBase Canada. $19.95 ($2 s/h).
DX QSL Routes. The DX QSL Route Disk now contains almost 20,000 QSL
managers and DX station addresses compiled by prominent DXers, DX
packet cluster sysops, and DX Net Managers. $19.95 ( $2 s/h ).
Old Call Database. It's funny how we can remember the callsigns of
those first QSOs, even when we don't remember their owner's names.
We have compiled over 100,000 previously owned callsigns in a single
database which references the latest HamBase data to display the
current callsign, along with the latest address information.
$9.95 ($2 s/h when ordered separately).
Packet Home BBS Database. More and more hams have established a Home
BBS which they regularly check for packet messages. With the
Packet BBS data installed, HamBase will retrieve the packet address
to reach these hams via packet radio. $9.95 ($2 s/h).
HBPopUp TSR. The HBPopUp TSR is hidden in your computer memory until
you press the user defined hot key combination. Then, no matter
what you are doing, HamBase will pop up on your screen. Type the
callsign and immediately see the address on your screen. The address
can be copied to the keyboard buffer so that when you return to your
program, your computer will automatically type the name and address.
If you order by phone, you'll hear HBPopUp in action. That's how
we fill in the name and address fields on our Order Entry System.
$19.95 ($2 s/h).
WHamBase 2.0 is a version of HamBase 2.0 for use with the popular
Windows system from Microsoft. Using WHamBase, you can access the
HamBase address data by callsign and cut and paste it to your other
applications. WHamBase is compatible with Windows 3.0 and higher
versions. Please note that WHamBase does not support the Name Browse
features in DOS version 3.0. $19.95 ( $2 s/h when ordered separately).
Macintosh HamBase. The Macintosh applications features full Mac
compatibility for the US and Canadian database with Callsign lookup and
data export. Sorry, the Mac version does not search by name or display
the county, yet. $49.95 ($5 s/h).
